Kickstarter Idea - Thanks!

Hi Guys! Just wanted to run an idea on this forum and see if it would gain any traction.

 

I was thinking of starting a kickstarter to raise about 2500 (for instruction, equipment, supplies, etc) to help me achieve becoming a competitive amateur or even a mini-tour pro.

 

A little bit about myself, I am 24 years old - 5'8", and about 160lbs. I've been golfing on and off since I was 10 years old, and currently play around an unofficial 8 handicap. This is with me going to the driving range about once a week, and playing 18 every few weeks or so while not even touching golf during the winter. I love the game, but due to injuries, education and etc (going on medical missions for a year), never had the chance to take it seriously. Currently I just graduated from grad school, I work part time as an academic tutor and I spend a lot of my time working with disadvantaged communities.

 

During my high school years I was playing a bit more competitively with a couple friends. One of these friends turned out to become quite good and won ROY on the PGA a couple years ago.

 

All in all, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love golf and believe I have a lot of talent plus the drive to become quite good. I've begun to take my game a lot more seriously lately by spending more time on the range and working out to optimize my game. However I realize I do need some help getting there, and am wondering if the internet is wanting to go on an adventure with me.
