So, I won this auction March 11th:

I saw today that this auction occurred on Feb 11th:

His feedback is good. He was very communicative at first. Said he could not find the tracking number, but it was shipped on March 13th. Said it would take 15-20 days to go from Canada to Hawaii.

I havent received the head yet (today would be the 17th non-Sunday day), nor have i heard from him since he says he shipped it.

 

Anyone ever deal with this seller?

 

Should I be concerned here?

He has been active on ebay since then, maybe a few more emails asking him to at least acknowledge you, or give you some status as a re-assurant.

Yeah, his one negative is as a buyer and seems like more of a misunderstanding than malice.

 

I sent him another message asking about the status of the tracking number or package.

 

Whats up with the duplicate auction though...didnt like the selling price so he bought it up with an ebay alias?

Seems funny to me, that the pictures on both auctions were the same.

 

Not to mention I hope you used paypal...maybe if it is a mess up you can get your fundage back.

But the seller did not leave any feedback for the first buyer and the first buyer's feedback is "0" which is a little suspicious to me.

Won the auction on Mar 11. Shipped on the 13th. Should take 15-20 days. No tracking number, no communication since great early communication, duplicate pictures of the same item from a previous auction. And to be honest I don't know the guy that won the previous auction, could be a buddy of his. Sounded shady to me....Right, wrong, or indifferent that was my opinion.

Yup, used paypal, so I wont get totally screwed. Got about 10 more days on my 30-day window for dispute, so I can give him a little more time.

 

And yeah, I found this old auction cause I saw that positive feedback. However, the guy that supposedly bought that head has been on ebay since 2005 and didnt buy anything till that head. Thats why i figured it was his own dummy account that he used to "buy" the head cause he wasnt satisfied with the sale price?

Do you think this head is/was ever in his possession? It seems strange that a guy with almost perfect (and seemingly legitimate) feedback would just start scamming all of a sudden...

Ok, got a response...

 

 

I had the club up for auction once before the auction that you won. It was won by 'Weberkent2005" whom subsequently did not pay for the club as I would not accept a money order only paypal. She was really nice about it and since it ended at less than I really wanted to sell it for I left it and decided to put it up for auction again. She went ahead and left me good feedback for being so generous and not persuing the auction.

 

As far as the tracking number, I wish I was able to give it to you but I cannot find the receipt.

 

I can assure you that the club head was shipped. The shipping time is so hit and miss due to border/customs delays going into the United States. If it makes you feel any better a package that was shipped on the same day arrived on Friday in Phoenix and he just left feedback for me over the weekend. This was shipped with a method that was one level cheaper that your was shipped so I would imagine that yours is coming soon.

 

I hope that this puts your mind at ease. If there is something else that I can do, please let me know.

Hello All

 

Just an update on this one...

 

After those couple days of no contact, the seller has been great with the communication and very upstanding throughout this process.

 

He has refunded the purchase price with the understanding that i will re-refund if/when the head eventually comes in.

 

I wouldnt hesitate to buy from this seller again if he lived in the US ;) Im blaming the troubles here on the unpredictability of international shipping.

The head came in yesterday! :bigwhack:

 

An FYI for peeps getting shipments from Canada...this took almost 2 months to get to Hawaii. This sucks cause the paypal dispute limit is 30 days, but if you got a seller you trust, just be patient...

 

I really want to clear this sellers name, as he was really cooperative, patient and proactive in fixing troubles with this transaction. Upstanding guy.
