It really is the Emeralf Isle. The Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellite captured this view of Ireland in January. The island remains green even in winter, “owing to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the presence of the Gulf Stream,” and due to southwesterly winds from the Atlantic, which “tend to bring a lot of rain in the northwest, west and southwest of the country,” according to ESA.

On April 9, United Launch Alliance launched its Delta IV Heavy rocket on its final mission. Blasting off from Space Launch Complex-37 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, it marked the end of the Delta family of rockets, which emerged in the early 1960s. The rocket carried many iconic space probes over the years.
