I'm heading up there over Memorial Day weekend.

 

It appears there are only two public golf courses in the area:

• Rollingstone Ranch
  
• Haymaker
  

Opinions of either one? We're going to do twilight rates, so the prices are pretty equal (I think).

The back 9 at Rollingstone is solid - The front is average. Love Steamboat great town, nothing like tubing down the yampa with a six pack and stopping downtown after for a few more cold ones.

Haymaker is a fun links style course. Located at the base of Rabbit Ears pass it can be quite windy. Really enjoy playing there.

Haymaker is good. There used to be a Hilton or Sheraton golf course there that was good as well. I am not sure if that has been renamed Rollingstone, or a different course entirely. If you can get out on Catamount (Private), that is a spectacular mountain golf course. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Yes, the course at the Sheraton is called Rollingstone.

Looks like either option is going to work out. Thanks, everyone. Now it's just a matter of trying to acquire four tee times.

I personally like Haymaker better thank Rollingstone. Played both and they are both good.

Haymaker has a early season great deal if you can gather enough people. $75/person including golf, cart, range balls, and tournament contests if you have at least 12 golfers. You're saving about $20/person if you're just considering cart and range balls (shame I planned on walking); the tournament stuff is just gravy. Just hoping the weather on Sunday holds up.
