New Miura Giken limited model blades

Looks like only 100 sets for the 2 types of Y grinds, in 2 finishes each.

 

These the modified baby blades or an entirely new blade?

seriously, the stamping/writing on miuras are getting s little too much. they have such classic shapes, why not leave well enough alone and go with the understated approach??

Yeah, I guess I am not as concerned with what I can't see at address. I think my BBs are more tasteful, but at the end of the day, that F Y grind looks nice for Florida summer golf with fast passing showers. I also treat my BBs like crap as far as cleaning them and all that. I buy clubs to throw into the ground repeatedly. The only ones I have that will eventually get refinished and just go on a wall are my kyoei forged cleveland byron nelson 68.3 blades. I think it would be cool if a miura made a blade set with just the M logo on the center back muscle though if style points counted.

Funny, I just came across a set of these irons but in the other grind (not F) and they were hardly hit at all. X100s in them though, not like I am in the market or anything.

Well they dont look as bad in hand as in pics bec they are so damn small.
Still cudda done without that extra nonsense but the new shape is spot on!
So i ordered my set last night
They are actually miles better in hand than in piccys but i hope that finish holds up. Il know next week im taking the test iron with me for a few days
Might be the smallest head of them all .much squarer and less offset

Very different to the isms and what ever those ones u guys have are.

200sets of both so good luck getting a set ifur not ultra quick

Never mind, I figured it out. Also I thought the grinds were a little different but really type f and d are fade and draw and the grinds look to be the same y grind but things like sole camber and slight grind are a little different. Of course I don't know how to read kanji so this is speculative....

Japanese market always prefer busier stamping. It never bothers me because outside of the cleveland 588 blades nothing in North America is ever that busy. Just the JDM market, nothing to get in a hissy fit over.

While I am clearly on record as not caring about the stamping, I don't feel like anyone that prefers the cleaner look was anywhere near a hissy fit, just stating that they look kinda tacky. Very arguably accurately....just because I could care less, doesn't mean that the look of these is somehow a preference of mine. They look tacky and not all JDM looks like the side of a nascar.

Agreed, they look busy with the stampings, Miura's always have that classic look with minimal stamping. Little too much going on for my eye, not as classy as the 001 or the 1957's, but I bet they still feel like butter off the face though and that's all that matters in the end.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh well these are interesting to say the least
they dont " look right"
they look off at address they are all wrong, fidgeting, twitching. somehting just out and out wrong with them i cud not get settled with this iron in hand. feel is ok, but it had a POS KBS tour shaft which killed any decent contact with the ball.

hit over 50 balls with it on course till i benched it , it just doesnt work . off set is bad lie is bad. and the shape is weird.

cancellled my order.
much much better blades around.

[/quote]The 1957's baby blades are fairly neutral in their stamping, I really like the 1957 crest/logo. I have a set of the retros 3-P, if interested PM me.

Seems like miura giken is often more cluttered with their stampings. Miura (NA offering) seems to always be super clean with their stamps.

I disagree I have the type D and they are incredible and beautiful irons , I also have the mb5005 not as nice though great irons, the type D is almost exact shape as my Nike vr pro blades 3-pw minus the grind , I love the type D the high pointy toe of the F type put me off
