Take a look at my brother's driver DTL...any tips?

To me, it looks like he lacks some rotation in the hips on the backswing, and I think his top position is a little too over the line. He also seems to rotate his forearms quite early in his backswing--before the club is parallel. His follow through looks a little funky as well, any thoughts on that?

place the you tube link between media tags...

then use http instead of https ...

I'm the wrong one to give advice... I browse here to find solutions to swing issues that I might share with others.

Still - usually you can't just say - give me advice.

You have to describe where the ball went or the shot shape or the flaw that you want fixed.

Like - "hey fellas, This is my driver swing and gives me a big hook. Any ideas what's causing the hook?" - etc...

That'll probably get you some eyeballs.

Just make a new thread and title it; "I challenge you golf geeks to find flaws in this swing".

Btw this works on any forum that you are seeking advice from. Sure you will get a bit of flak but you will have more good answers in 10min than any other way. .

I am not expert either, but it seems to me for a driver, his swing is too up and down and not around. He comes down at it like an iron not a driver or a fairway wood. That's why the follow through looks funky. It should go more around his body, not straight up.

Does he hit a big slice, if he does then the upright part is definitely the cause of it. Upon looking more, he looks like he just starts the swing with his hands and arms and doesn't turn his shoulders to start the swing.

[/quote] I'll have to ask him about the slicing, but that was the first thing I saw--he starts the swing with his hands rather than his shoulders. He's got a pretty bad shoulder I know but I don't know how that affects him. Again, appreciate the feedback, I'll be passing this on to him!
