Moving to Utah!

I like it here in Utah in the SLC area. I lived here as an Air Force brat. I chose to come here when I enlisted in the AF. I came back after my Navy time was up. (yeah, I did both)

 

Utah has some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. This is an outdoor haven if you like that sort of thing...hundreds of trails, some of the best boarding / skiing.

The golf here is solid. The winters aren't nearly as bad as in the Northeast in regards to a short golf season but the Jan/Feb inversion is lame. There are a couple of good covered ranges for those snow days (I am an apprentice at one of them.)

really? I'll be honest I haven't even got the sticks out of my travel case from moving and been so busy finding a job I haven't had a chance to even look into courses. but I live in N Salt Lake, close to bountiful.

 

Bountiful Ridge and Eaglewood in Bountiful they are both good courses. A little futher north Valley View and Davis Park are great courses as well.

I just moved to south salt lake county and will be looking for rounds at local courses. I know there are a ton of courses and way cheaper then california where I came from. Does anyone know what cost is at any of the private clubs around sandy?

Not sure on cost I think Salt Lake Country Club was around 75k the last time I checked. Willow Creek CC is a nice fun course but not sure on price, Hidden Valley CC is my favorite and it's significantly cheaper 27 holes great course. If you don't mind driving down to Alpine about a 30-45 min drive south of Sandy super cheap membership good course, but out of the way.
