Going out of business

I heard today that Larry Gibson's place is closing this month due to poor business. I never wish any hard luck on anyone that has a family to support.

I hope that Larry lands on his feet and is OK.

I guess that you northside boys that need the exotic stuff will have to drive south now.

His club work didn't impress me much. I had an issue with a ZCOM TW74 that he didn't tip properly before install. Let's just say that it didn't end amicably.

Agree there. He reshafted a 3 wood for me once that was done extremely poorly. It was a bore thru BB and it looked like I had done it myself in the garage. I think Golfsmith could have done a much better job. I never went back after that.

Well, it seems ol' Larry, with the help of others, moved into a 6,000 square foot facility and outfitted it with all the latest & greatest stuff only to disappear into thin air!

Anything worth money & not too big to take was surreptitiously removed from the premises by gremlins in the night.

Investors, landlord, employees, and more were left holding the "where's our money?" bag.

Word is the authorities would like to take his picture.....;)
