Utah leg of the trip

playing boise w/ gwrx guys, then, waddya think of these courses?

carbon cc in price...

waddya think about millsite in feron?

moab course in moab...

hideout course in monticello...

then to farmington and pinon hills (played back 9 before)

 

anything i might be missing, or should play instead of those listed?

hit the road around 25th of june...

The Hideout is one of Utah's gems of the beaten path.

played moab today...omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the setting. the course. unreal. y'all GOTTA play it! get online and look at the picks. if you've played papago in phoenix, imagine moab being about 100000000times more awesome! i couldnt believe it....will post pics some day when i figure ot how. they're on my phone...

then drove here to monticello to play hideout tomorrow...stopped at course to check it out...omg!!!!! another stunner! the range looks better than most holes on most courses! and from what i could see it looks amazing! play it tomorrow (sunday) morning... $36 w/ a cart!

i would move here just to alternate between the courses, lol...

first off, i stink.i found hideout to be a visual gem, but most of the holes were too difficult for me...too many target holes with angled fairways, etc...kept getting in trouble..i would have to play it several times to get the hang of it...right now i have negative feelings toward hideout, lol...and i played with a local who tried to help me! i'm probably being too harsh...

moab was the gem of the trip, and i played a bunch of great courses...here's my rating:

moab:9.2 course and setting are stunners

rancho solano near napa: 9 setting and course are amazing

hiddenbrooke near napa: 7.6 similar to rancho, but not quite as well conditioned...$36...lotta great holes...

hideout: 7 visually great, but unplayable for my lousy game

pinon hills: 7 probably being harsh again...was tired...

boise: 7.9 (help w/ name, pixl) great layout. wait'll the trees mature!

juniper in bend: 7.2 very playable, but every hole looked the same to us...setting not amazing...(just my opinion, of course...)

rivers edge in bend: 9 we love the course and setting...a blast! moab wins due to setting (look at images on google)

olivas links in ventura: 7.2 links, so it's different. i like it.

riverridge in ventura: has 2 courses...love 'em both...8's...plus cowboys have practice field next door...

 

i have played riviera in boss angeles, and i like all the above courses more...i might have a certain uncertain taste in courses...of course, i like a lotta courses in austin and phoenix...

i know a banger when i see one. you, sir, are a banger. for me, it's hard to play quality golf after a tiring 6 hour drive...was tired most of the trip, altho i played well at moab, swinging at 70%...

did pick up a ping g20 hybrid 20* at gsmith that rang up at 40% today...the 17* needs a lot more practice, but the 20* went just as far, so maybe i'll bench the 17*...it's always something, lol...

i...um....it's the lighting or something...

it's a really bright white, and i shot a 74 with it today, with a dbl bogie on the last hole...how 'bout that? trying to keep up with you!

for some reason it all just came together...wasnt swinging too hard, except for the last hole to clear bunkers, and even that drive was right side of fairway...just bunkered, lol...taking tomorrow, friday, off...pooped!
