Round grip on a putter?

Tried it 15 plus years ago, worked well

Then fell into a putting slump

Went back to standard putting grip

I been using a round non tapered grip on my 8802 blade putter for 5 rounds and putting fantastic I feel more natural and less fuss

There is a thumb imprint I am staring to notice at the front of of the grip where the flat portion usually is.

I find that I prefer a flat grip with a the plumber necks putter as my hands get closer together with those types of putters and I like to set both my thumb on the flat portion

jumping on a really old discussion topic: I just switched to a superstroke traxion swing grip on my putter and I'm not sure I'll ever go back to a traditional putter grip. I've mostly used lamkin deep etches for the last few years, average anywhere between 33 and 38 putts per round, and went out there and had a rounds at 31 and 27 putts this past weekend. something about the round grip let everything feel more natural. great switch

I have the same grips on all of my clubs for the last 20 years -- the PUTTER too......
