iPhone battery

Is this some sort of scam ? My old iPhone literally kept a charge for about 2 hours. Got my new phone about a year and a half ago and I'm right back to where I started!? I was golfing the other day and my phone was at 75 percent and In battery save mode. Within an hour it was dead!? Is there anything to stop this ?

I've had 3 iPhones and have never had this problem. One thing I do do is make sure my background app refresh is off for all my apps. I read somewhere that when you leave it on apps will constantly update even if your not using them which your battery is always being used. The article also said social media apps like Facebook and snapchat suck a lot of battery when the background app refresh is on. The article also suggested lowering your screen brightness and not leaving Bluetooth on all the time. I have found when golfing when I use one the golf apps for getting distances for each shot the battery drains really quick.

If there is not an actual technical issue with the battery, this will be caused by you having too many things open, backround data, refreshes , etc.

 

Batteries will last longer than this provided the phone is used normally, while phones have more features with each installment, the components used in them have also improved when it comes to power saving, sometimes by wide margins compared to phones of 2-3 years ago.

 

I had this issue recently with my Sony noticing the battery was draining faster, and it was just because i had accidentally turned off my backround data restriction after an update

I have a 6 and the battery was terrible...maybe last 2 hrs, tops. I had the battery replaced and now it's great. I think it was approx $75.

This explains why my 6s has terrible battery life. Mine gala in the serial number range. Thanks for posting this!

 

If I don't keep my phone on a charger, it won't make it to lunch time. I've always had a Mophie case for it, but the case quit taking a charge.

2hrs is crazy, either the iPhone batteries are garbage or you guys are doing serious phone stuff lol

 

I have a Sony and am on it quite a bit, I feel like it would last me a full day

Ive had the 6+ since it came out and the battery is still literally amazing. Absolutely shocked because every iPhone I had before this one lost it's battery after the first year of owning it.
