Make sure you go the speed limit, not under but not more than 2-3mph over. The person assessing you does not want you to be looking at your speedometer constantly, but just stay comfortable. The biggest thing is to look at your surroundings while you are driving, even if you aren't looking for anything pretend that you are looking for things on the side of the road (children, animals, etc.). The last thing is just remember the little things like slowing down and looking both ways at railroad tracks, when changing lanes, blinker, mirror, look over your shoulder...and also keep both hands on the wheel! If you do that and stay calm, you should be all set! Good luck :cheesy:

just do everything exaggerated. For example, if you need to turn left, put on your signal a while before you turn, and when you switch lanes make sure you look eveywhere. It's sad that your drivers test will be the last time you ever obey the rules of the road again. Give it maybe 2 weeks and you'll be speeding, not stopping on red and never signaling until you absolutely need to. Kind of ironic...

you just have to trust yourself, you may drive like a mad man, but when you test for your lisence, the easiest thing to do is drive like a grandma, dont speed, at all, dont pass any one, dont run any red lights, dont stop way in the cross walk, dont tailgate, just common sense stuff, but IMO, just drive like a grandma and you will be good, you can miss a few things too, so dont stress so much

just know that the person testing you knows your nervous, they're not out to get you. just relax, if you know what your doing you'll be fine.

Everything there is totally true. Also, when just driving, make sure that you are moving your head to check all of your mirrors. You really do have to exaggerate evrything just to make sure it gets seen by the tester. Also, at the end when they tell you things that you didn't do correctly, just sit there and nod your head and say "OK" even if you really believe that you did those things.

yea im getting my license soon too.....within the next month..... i'm a good driver but just the fact that i will be driving with many people and one wrong move i can take away someones life or my own.... i just wanna drive safe and not do any crazy stuff people ask me to do

Yeah mine has saved me probably from a good 30 tickets. It seems like alot and it probably is but think of insurance rates if I didn't buy that thing. Not to mention they would have taken my license.

Well seeing as I don't even get my permit for like 9 months I can't be of a lot of help. But from what I have been told by other people I'd say, don't speed, 2 hands on the wheel, and have a calm quite confidence when your driving. I don't really have much else to offer so...good luck!

I can get my learner's when I ever I want now, just need to find the time - but look into a cruise control car to do your test in - when the instructor looks at your feet and you haven't got your foot on the accelerator he'll freak :cheesy:. The radar detectors are a great idea too if you want to be safe - but who wants that :tongue:
