Atlanta ClubCorp week of 9/4

I am headed to Atlanta with a golf buddy the week of Labor Day. We are going to see his daughter's college soccer team play two games nearby, so other than that we are planning to play golf Tuesday thru Friday or Saturday.

 

The problem is what courses to play. I have only played the Polo club. We really wanted to play Country Club of the South and Manor, but it looks like both are being aerated. The best I can tell the following may not be aerated:

 

Atlanta National

Bentwater

Eagle Watch

Laurel Springs

Northwood

Olde Atlanta

White Columns ?

Windermere

Bear's Best

 

What are the top 3 or 4 to play and would we be able to get an early Saturday tee time at one? Also, is there something that we are missing down south toward Peachtree city or that area?

Atlanta National aerated 8/21, preparing for US Mid AM in October

White Columns aerated 8/29

Bears Best, CCofSouth, The Manor aerating 9/5, played last 2 this past weekend, both in great shape

Bentwater not in good shape, would not recommend

Eagle Watch and Northwood I have not played this summer

Windermere, Laurel Springs and Olde Atlanta are bermuda, Windermere and LS were ok last time I played it 30 days ago

 

Not ClubCorp but highly recommend Echelon, it is in fantastic shape and aerating on 9/5-6

 

Saturday tee times at CCofSouth, Manor, White Columns, Atlanta National, Laurel Springs restricted to members. Most courses allow ONE members access after 12 noon on Sundays, no Saturday access. Windermere, Bear's Best, Olde Atlanta, Eagle Watch, Bentwater are public access courses 7 days a week.

Windermere, Olde Atlanta, Eagle Watch and Bentwater are not public access courses. Bear's Best and CC of Gwinnett are the only public access ClubCorp courses in Atlanta.

1. Laurel Springs (Bermuda greens) - golden bear design

2. Windemere (Bermuda greens) Davis love III design

 

Eagle watch sucks. Cc of Gwinnett is god awful.

 

Polo isnt aerating until 9/11-12. It's the only bent facility left that's clubcorp that hasn't punched yet. Member tournament 9/8-9-10.
