HELP my swing!!!

I need some help with my swing, I have taken two lessons so far this season with another one comine next week. Last year when my swing looked worse, my scores were better, I was about a 12hdp.

Now I'm a 15-17 and have lost distance noticably in my driver. I have attached a few links to my swing, with either a 7i or driver. My swing was getting better with lessons, but has fallen off the wagon as of late, I'm hitting high fades with no distance of course.

Can anyone help with what I could be doing wrong? I assume my face is open as I'm fading it, is my path wrong too? I feel like my hips are going faster then my arms/hands, so when I'm contacting the ball, I'm too far behind and leaving the face open.
(sorry that the movies need to be turned 90*, wasn't sure how to change that...)

From a real quick look I'd have to say your swing plane is too flat and your chicken winging with your right arm.

What sports have you played before taking up golf?

Do you consider yourself athletic?

Stop taking lessons from whoevever you're taking it with. A good teacher, within a half-hour of your lesson, will know your mistakes and get you to compress the ball better.

Is this teacher using video, or doing it all by sight?

Not much shoulder turn there. I don't think that is your major issue but a symptom. You look very stiff. I would bet by looking at your body make up you are a reasonably flexible guy too. It looks to me that your problems are caused by tension. Tension will inhibit your flexibility and is a major distance killer as well. Relax, turn and hit the ball. Get rid of the tension and I would bet your distance comes back.

This is all from personal experience of what I'm currently going through.

Your swing plane looks flat and your shoulder turn isn't coming parallel to the ground and pointing at your target which doesn't allow your hips to load correctly.

I had to consciously push my right arm out to bring the club up over my shoulders and then remember to let my right arm drop into the slot while releasing my hips.

Definitely find a pro and have them work with you on it.

I have been caught up in a lot of mechanics, and have narrowed down things that work for me.

when all that mechanical stuff is in your head you are not going to put a good move on the ball.

pick one or two items to work at a time. what I see in your video thats easy to change is TEMPO find a nice smooth swing , start with 1/2 swings at a speed that your timing keeps hands in front of chest at all points .. smooth tempo allows for relaxed muscles = faster swing . you'll have more swing speed if you do not try as hard

Try TourTempo.com . I believe the right tempo would do wonders for your swing. Based on what I see, your upswing is somewhat tentative.

Most golfers tend to take a slow back swing (30 or more frames on video) versus a pros swing (usually in the region of 21 to 27 frames). On the down swing, amateur golfers tend to lunge at the ball and creating (at times) too rush a downsing. You should have a nice 3 to 1 ratio. Tiger has 24/8. Furyk is 27/9. Most have pretty much the same tempo. Mine is 21/7. Not that I am fast. Just a short guy and small arc. So probably explains the shorter frames.

Anyway, worth a try. If the player is too expensive, try the book first.

I think if you look at your swing frame by frame you'll see that you're not releasing the club correctly. The first guy already mentioned this, but it doesn't look like your right hand is crossing over your left properly. i've been trying to fix the same thing for about a month. for me it causes a lot of pushes with irons and slices with driver. one cause may be that you're releasing your wrist **** too early

To push my right arm out, you mean to take a longer wider backswing?

How do I release the club better? First person said chicken winging my right arm. You mean its bent coming through impact instead of both arms being straight and rolling them over?
