watching golf channel after cutting the cord

Hulu Live TV is what I am using now. Seems to me it and Youtube TV are the best game in town for "alternative" TV providers.

 

We tried Hulu Live TV and ran into constant buffering issues. Switched to PSVue and have had no problems with buffering, so we're sticking with it.

 

Interesting, that's a bummer. Glad you found something that works for you now.

I think I'm one of the few people who still prefer cable. After the internet hookup, the fees for various streaming channels and the hassle, it's not worth cutting the cord. Cable is easy - it's more expensive but the ease and options of cable is worth the extra cost to me.

We ditched cable last year. We subscribed to DirecTVNow though. We were paying $180 for cable and internet. Kept our internet service at $60 a month. DirecTV Now is about $60 with HBO being a $5 add-on which is nice. We're saving between $60-$70 a month and aren't missing any channels that we actually watched. Miss the DVR a little, but with On Demand, I don't really need it.

 

We had an old dish on our roof, so I installed an HD antenna and used the coax from the dish since it already ran into the house. Connected that cable to the splitter that fed cable to all of our rooms and now each TV gets all of the local channels in HD.

I will be dropping mine at renewal time. I do not care for the talking heads taking up two hours of the five hour live golf.

Stopped watching the morning stuff long ago. It lost my interest when they started all the rinse and repeat programming.

To be honest,i seldom watch them. I find a lot more to do with my life besides sitting in front of a TV. The live golf shown on the GC

is almost becoming a joke. 60 minutes of pre-golf.....a commercial every 5 minutes of live golf...with the talking heads taking up

another section each twenty minute. In total,we were lucky to get to see actual live golf being played about 17 minutes each hour. I

will say that it seems ...sometimes....that they may have heard all of the complaints...but then they fall back into their old way of doing it.

Not worth the money for me anymore.

you make a great point. It is really too bad that the broadcasters haven't learned that the spectators want to watch golf. There is more to the tournament than just 4 or 5 players. They can split the screen into 2 or 4 sections and cover many more golfers. It would make a big difference. The best coverage of the year is the Masters, because they have so few commercials. I just hate listening to Jim Nance.
