Orlando/Jacksonville

Will have two days in this area to do basically whatever I want in two weeks. However I wont be able to bring my clubs, so no course time. But I'm looking for some nice golf stores to buy some gear and possibly a nice place to have some lunch while (hopefully) enjoying the sun and watching some golf for an hour or two. Preferably without any specific dress code, just a place where you can wear your regular day clothes. Any suggestions?

I like sports bars. There is no better sports bar in the Orlando area than ESPN at Disney Boardwalk. It is expensive, loud and fun. Plus you can stroll around the Boardwalk and enjoy the street entertainment and sights. If you prefer a little more silence, the Shades Of Green sports bar is really good. It’s smack-dab between the Magnolia and the Palm golf courses at Disney. In addition you can rent some of the junker clubs and play Disney Oak Trail par 3 course. Good fun. For golf shops, pick one. All good.

Off Turkey Lake Road in Orlando you have the PGA Tour Superstore, Golf Galaxy and a really good Edwin Watts...all within walking distance of each other. Across the street is Dewey's which is a golf oriented sports bar. It actually has hitting bays, too. And not too far away at the Universal area there is a TopGolf.

Thanks, much appreciated. Will definitely look up that par 3 course. Haven't hit a golf ball in a couple of months and really starting to crave it, damn weather..

About places to eat I was more thinking about a club/course that has a restaurant with a good view of a hole to watch some hackers try to master this lovely game.

Will hit up those stores for sure then RichieHunt, already hade the PGA superstore in mind, this made it even better. Thank you!

Courses with restaurants with somewhat of a view in Orlando:

Eagle Creek

Falcon's Fire

Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes (private course, but I'm pretty sure you can eat there)

RedTail

LPGA International (Daytona Beach)

Not a lot to choose from. The best place to watch is Eaglebrooke in Lakeland. Fantastic view of the 18th hole which is a great hole.

Best bet in Orlando is Eagle Creek

As usual RH is right. In Orlando, Eagle Creek's clubhouse dining area is on the 2nd floor and overlooks the par 5 18th. You can see people going for it in 2 to try and get it over the water on the green as they are coming in. Entertaining enough if it's busy that day.
