PNW Trip in August

Well, you can't swing a cat in the PNW without hitting a decent brew pub...

That, at least, you can count on for this trip.

Lol. I wasn't too worried about Tacoma, but rather the Bremerton area. It looks like there's 4 or 5 worth checking out, e.g. Silver City, Slaughter County, Lovecraft, Cash.

Silver City has great beer- you'll find their beers in restaurants and stores throughout the state. For a light, citrusy IPA I'd suggest their Tropic Haze. If you're in a restaurant or 19th hole that has Elysian Super Fuzz, I'd suggest giving that a go for a really tasty pale that they only brew during the summer.

'Sounds great. I'm actually not a big fan of hoppy IPAs. I drink imperial stouts and porters year around, and don't mind a Saison, Belgian Tripel, or fruity witbier on a warmer day. Of course, finding a stout, let alone an imperial, is a real task in the summer months given that most breweries only produce it in the winter.

Some idiot stole a plane at SeaTac, took off, did a barrel roll, and then crashed after two F-15s intercepted it. Crazy. They have the airport locked down. My flight was temporarily put into a holding pattern, but was allowed to land. We're sitting on the tarmac while they sort out ground operations. The trip is literally starting with a bang.
