Maltby TS2

What about creating your arm lock putter shaft. The putter picture is a Maltby PTM-5CS with an over the hosel shaft. I wanted to use a graphite shaft but they don't make (or that I could find cheap anyway).   So I took a fairway wood shaft, sanded it down, epoxied an post in the center of the shaft to try and strengthen it.   I then took the tip of a Score shaft and epoxied that to the tip fairway wood shaft.  The transition is covered by heat shrink tubing.

I haven't had the chance to try it out, because of winter, ugh.  But if it doesn't work I will replace it.  Also it is a cheap shaft so if it doesn't work, no big deal.  The putter itself is really short as fair as putters go so I am not sure how that will affect things.

Almost a dead ringer for an old Bi-Matrix shaft. Nice work.

You can get an s300 or x100 driver shaft. Should do the job pretty easily….
hell, go to goodwill and grab a couple old knock off woods with steel shafts for $4/piece and experiment!

Wrong tip size though, and still soft for this application despite the flex designation.

Tip it until the ID fits the post. You get more butt section of the shaft and it will be stiffer with the heavier putter head.

Decided to order the PTM-1, built to Arm Lock specs. Will let you all know how it turns out.

So the Golfworks shaft is 37 inches long for that putter.  So considering that along with the height of the putter you would get about 40 inches, then do a shaft extension to get the rest of the length. That might just work.

That's the plan, lol. I have some of the polymer GW extensions already. Which are 3 or 4 inches. Then I also have a steel extension that I can probably get 7 inches out of. Thinking the GW ones will be more than enough.

Did get confirmation from them today on the order specs.

7* loft, and 75* lie. So thinking they'll be able to pull it off.

Will keep you all posted.

Exchanged a few emails with GW to iron out details on the putter build. Substituted a longer grip, but having them leave it loose (uninstalled). It's been sent off to their build team. Thinking I'll have it next week.

This is my first time purchasing from them online (have done in-store before). And I'm super impressed with their responsiveness, attention to detail, and overall service.

Yes, I've always been impressed with their customer service and their products.

Post swing weighting the KE4 every club in my bag felt awesome except for 1. The 8 iron seems to have lost all its feel. Couldn't figure out why. Tried changing my ball position and making sure I wasn't steep. Couldn't get it to get going. May have been a fluke or just something in my head. I'll be back in the Sim today Testing driver prototypes. So I'll give it another go.

Back home I rechecked it on the scale and it was right the middle of my range at D2.

Hoping it's a fluke, if not I may be Testing for CPM and see if that's somehow wonky.

So I added some lead powder to the 8 iron, under the weight, to bump up the weight a tad and found I'm going to need the 14g weight.

The difference with just a but more weight was really positive.

Overall I'm crushing my irons. Feel has improved through the ball. Feel like they are really launching off the face.

I may get out on the course over the next few days as the weather is freakishly warm.

Was able to catch Britt on the phone this am. TS3 heads are enroute for sure. Hopefully I'll get a set as soon as they land.

We spoke about the design and the anticipation. He said on these upcoming three designs, TSIM TS3 TS4 Golfworks was able to pull out all the stops. He said the designs are next level. As good as the recent releases are these are head and shoulders higher.

From the 3d prototyping to the cosmetics. It's all next level on what they were able to develop. Can't wait to get me hands on them.

That ke4 TC Max looks nice. Hard to find a driver for that price no matter where you look.

I wish they were easier to find information about. It's basically buy and test for the most part.

Finally played a round with my Christmas presents. Added a Ke4 Tour 4 wood, Ke4 max 4i and a set of Max milled wedges.

The wedges were very similar to the M series they replaced.

Only hit the 4wood once, hit it a little fat but still got great distance.

The best one was the ke4 max 4i, also only hit it oncw on a short par 4 but striped it 230 straight down the middle of the fairway. Will definitely be thinking about replacing the 5-7 TS2s with them.

Judging from your pic, it looks like you went with the wide sole in the 58 and narrow in 54.  I also went from the Maltby forged 53, 56 and 60 to the same as you.  From a limited experience, I find the 58 wide sole to be more forgiving out of the sand than my old wedges.  I agree on the 4i.  Easy to hit.  I have the full set and love them.

Previously I had a 56 in the 1.05 and super wide in the 62, I loved the 56 in the same so thought that would translate well to the 58.  Needed different lofts going from the mmb to ts1s.  I liked the new wedges except for the 3 shots I caught low and blasted over the green, I don't think that's the wedges fault though.

Did you get a time estimate for the TS4?

He mentioned late June but it's a rough guess. He was beyond excited about all three releases.

I hope everyone realizes the upcoming price bumps are not just the results of a better product.  Factories in China are still a mess. Rolling power black outs. Mandatory covid shutdowns. Material costs through the roof. Shipping rates that are out of control.

But I'm pretty sure the results will be well worth it and still way under any OEM, with performance to match or eclipse.
