Can you still order mp64s?

I know mizuno used to offer certain irons that were “classics” that you could order new from them. Anybody know if this possible with the mp64. The new stuff doesn’t feel or look as good imo.

There is one new set available at auction, has to be one of the last new sets on Planet Earth. Mizuno's best cavity back ever - I regret letting my set go...

Read recently that they keep the dies and you can special order Mizuno’s from the past. Would try to remember where

I know that back in the day it was possible to ship a used set to the manufacturer and they’d strip the finish, re-groove the heads, and re-apply the finish. You’d have to pay for it of course, but it was cheaper than a new set and when you got your refurbished set back it looked like new.

 

I don’t know if Mizuno or any of the manufacturers do that any more. If they do, you could buy a used set and then send it off to be refurbished.

I have an almost new set of 64s but they have c-tapers in them. Idk how great that shaft suits me, i prefer s300s.

That's an easy fix. Grab a set of your preferred shaft on Ebay and swap them around. You can probably recoup most of your money selling the c tapers. Swapping iron shafts is super easy.

The MP63s may be a good option for you. Not sure on their availability but they are very similar and performance and feel are outstanding.

... I have a mint set of MP63's I am putting in the classifieds over the weekend. I have been hanging on to them for years but know I will never play them again. Took them out once this summer but after playing P790's for boy 200 rounds the difference was night and day, so after 9 I went back to the car and put the P790's back in my bag. I have never seen a used set in mint condition as most are pretty beat up. I hate to let them go because they are just so beautiful, but no use keeping 'em if I am not gonna play 'em.

Those 63s are beautiful and should make someone very happy. I have played Mizuno irons since 1996 and the 63s became my favorites after going head to head with my mp 29s.
