What ever happened to Scratch Golf?

I have a brand new set of SB1 3-P that I purchased on a whim but never gamed. They're still in the delivery box and none of them have ever seen a ball. Sometimes I go down to the basement to take one out of the box just to admire the craftsmanship and beauty in the design and build.

Can someone school me on the relationship between slighter putters and scratch? Just got a new to me Redmond and it had scratches logo on the head cover. I remember them from years ago but being lefty it was pretty unobtainable so I’m not super familiar with the history.

Scratch golf has seemingly fallen a little bit out of favor as of late. Can't (basically) give away my EZ's, just no buyers without being lowballers.
