How old are you? Height, weight? A swing video can help a lot too. A lot of times guys have serious power leaks.

it wont happen overnight, but the best way to improve distance (providing you have a sound swing) is to hit the gym. Tiger also stretches for 45 minutes a day and claims this is the key to his immense power. However this isnt always necessary. Look at some of the great players and many appear quite unfit. This is where factors such as creating lag come into play and as the above poster said, it would be helpful to see a video of your swing.

There is a girl who is frequently at the range I go to sometimes. It is the location for the "first tee" program in my area. She is probably a year or 2 younger than you, close to your size and I've seen her hitting drives around 200yds. carry. The first thing I noticed is how wide her swing is. She has a very wide takeaway and uses that width and extension to get a maximum turn. The coil with the resistance of the lower body is very good and creates a ton of torque. I feel bad for the boys her age... she's outdriving them by 50yds. So that would be my recommendation for a start, take the club back straight and wide as far as you can before bringing it up. to the top. Do not bring it inside though, that can lead to an over the top move. Hope that helps a little. Good luck.

No, just 200, lol. I saw her out at Triggs with the other kids and the instructor one day. She hit it right up the middle on the 1st to the 150 marker on a hole that's just over 340 from the reds. I was talking with the instructor and he said her older sister is almost scratch already. She looks like a Mini Michelle Wie with that swing. There are a few kids over there that are amazing. The range is uphill and I'm hitting drives landing just in front of the 250... then I see other balls landing out with mine... I look down there and there is about a 14 yr. old kid, looks about 120lbs. with a swing that's just perfection. 2yd. draws everytime.

I agree go to gym, stretch alot, get a coach.

 

Drill - Take your driver and grip it by the shaft towards the end of the club head. Make a normal swing (You should have the grip end where the clubhead is normally) and try to make the whosh as loud as you can. The whosh sound should be after where the ball should be. This will increase your clubhead speed and assure you are accelerating through the ball. You will also notice that your drives will get much louder.

Most young women don't have a problem with flexibility, but with STABILITY. Ezra's statement "The coil with the resistance of the lower body is very good and creates a ton of torque." is right on the money.

 

I wouldn't concern yourself with speed directly, but with the correct swing sequence. Unfortunately for most of us that means hiring a coach. At 15 you want to learn correctly the first time rather than having to undo swing flaws down the road. You can go to mytpi.com for all kinds of drills to work on any area of concern to you.

I do a lot of lifting and stretching - but what really has made the difference this year was the amount of core/balance exercises I've done. I found that if I didn't translate my strength into quick/efficient strength it was pointless.

I found that by working on unwinding my shoulders faster rather than trying to swing the club head faster caused a pretty significant speed increase but also a more repeatable impact more in the center of the face(after some adjustment). Good Luck
