Spider X Stock Weights

Could anyone provide insight on the stock weights for the TM Spider X putter?

Off the rack the 35" has (2) 2g weights stock

I have a 34" and it also has 2 gram weights. The swingweight with the stock superstroke grip was around D7.

I went from 2 grams weights to 6 gram weight in my Spider Tour and made a huge improvement in my putting. May pick up an X and put heavier weight’s in to see how it goes.

 

The X is definitely more stable, for some reason, over the Tour.

Exactly what I did with my X. Practically swings itself it’s so good

Bringing up an old thread.

 

Just got a hydroblast small slant #3. The Rory putter.

 

TM no longer has the 12 gram weights anymore but I can get the 6 gram weights or buy aftermarket.

 

Is going up to 6 enough to really change the feel?

 

I have heard of the aftermarket ones breaking but they also offer more options like 8 9 10 gram weights etc.

 

I think Rory uses 9.

 

 

 

Also has anyone tried to unscrew the carbon under plate?

 

If it can be removed I bet some lead tape in the back of it would be a great hidden way to add weight as well.

TM informed me my X Hydroblast was 6 grams. I think there are after-market weights available to 12 grams.
