Upright Lie Angle question

Hoping someone can shed some light on this. I'm about 5'3"- 5'4" tall with a wrist to floor of about 33.5". According to the Ping chart this puts me at a +1 to +2* upright lie angle according to their static chart.

I've made a swing change recently where I like to play my hands a bit lower and to my eye prefer a club to stick up a little on the toe side.

Recently made a switch to the Epic Flash driver and have it set to +1/D and the D setting to my eye raises the toe end up and I seem to hit it straighter with less draw movement (I fight a snap hook with my driver). My last driver sat much flatter and I fought a hook with it. Seems the more upright I can make the Flash look the better I hit it.

Moving onto irons. I normally play a standard black dot in my fitted G700 irons as well as my backup set (588 Altitudes).

The G700 8i on down to the wedges look ok to my eye but the black dot in the 6i looks extremely flat to my eye. For comparison the Altitudes are a little more upright based on stock specs and fit my eye better than the G700's do.

Today I had a chance to hit a Cobra F9 demo iron. The demo I was hitting could be adjusted 2* upright or 4* upright.

In the 2* setting I hit a nice baby draw, but the flight was a little lower than I would have liked from a 7i. For kicks I adjusted the head to now be 4* upright and hit the ball higher and straighter and actually had some pushes that didn't draw back.

I always thought a more upright lie angle promoted a draw. For me it seemed opposite.

I was just looking for why this might be.

Ball flight is about the club heads delivery to the ball, so if you "compensate" with a open face angle, even a lie to upright makes a strait ball flight. Take a ball marker test and set lie angle neutral, and move on from there, dont use lie angle to get ball flight right, it only leads you into other issues at one point.

PS! 1 to much upright on lie, can be equalized with a face angle 1 open to path (1:1 relationship), so if lie is 2* more upright than it should be, a face angle 2* open to path equalize that. Playing clubs this way makes it close to impossible to make a draw or fade on command, since we use face angle for that, but now its used to compensate for a wrong lie angle.
