Mizuno MP20 SEL first impressions

I hated the hmb on the range and was going to keep my Callaway mb18 4 iron in the bag but I felt I owed it to the set to try. I liked it alot more than I thought. I will also tell you that the clubs were very forgiving across the set. No weaknesses.

What I have to say about my SELs is that they still produce an excellent flight, even on miss hits. I was on the simulator yesterday hitting my PW. Normal carry when I hit one in the middle is about 137. I hit one damn near off the heel and I still got 133 carry. Granted, I pulled it just a little bit so that helped get me some yards back... most people would have you believing if you miss the sweet spot by even just the slightest amount, you'll be losing 20+ yards.

I've been extremely pleased by these irons in every way so far. I was expecting butter soft feel so that didn't blow me away but the level of playability you get in MB's with these is unreal. I've used Miura blades in the past and while that feeling was very unique and special to Miura, I would never go back to them now that I have the SELs.

Anyone got comparisons using the SEL PW vs the T20 wedge at 46*?

I'll let you know next Friday once I my wedge fitting is complete. Odds are though the PW from the set is going to be a little smaller, with less bounce and thinner sole.

You guys are right... it is odd to put the terms "forgiving" in the same with sentence with "blades" but these let you get away with shots you normally would not. It is very strange (and good) to say the least.
