Well, I will post and reply even though I am usually reluctant to do so. I never believe anyone has it coming when doing a deal. I admitted I was wrong for dealing with Jason. I worked out my deal with Derek and it was resolved. I never contacted anyone else about Derek and never did anything I did not tell Derek about. As a matter of fact Derek and I have several conversations. I posted the story to apologize to those guys who I have talked to about Jason in the past. I have a ton of references and have always dealt honestly and openly with everyone I deal with. It seems like noone else will follow through when being burned so I guess I will have to take the lead. I am going to follow through as far as I can and if anyone needs to reach me or would like to work with me please PM me and we can work it out.

 

Derek, I especially apologize to you. I still do not know all the particulars but you dealt straight with me and I posted that previously. You have my number if you would like to call. As far as anyone else is concerned, you are all entitled to your opinions but as for me I never feel anyone deserves to be screwed in a business deal.

 

I hope this post ends speculation that I won't respond. I am a straight shooter and deal honestly. I was just posting to warn others now that I have been burned. Thanks for letting me vent.

Frank is probably one of the honest guys I know, what happened here is a good guy gave someone the benefit of the doubt to make things right. I talked to him a few weeks ago about it & he didn't bad mouth Jason. Anyone in his situation would have called him ever name in the book! As for looking for this to happen, Frank is a stand up guy looking to help people out & in this situation someone took advantage of his honesty & being a good guy. Nobody deserves this, especially Frank. If there's anyone that I would send stuff to with nothing in return for until he gets something I would need it would be Frank. Enough said about that, he's got to be one of the most standup guys I know of.

Perhaps, you are correct. I might have been too harsh on Frank. Frank, my apologies to you.

 

It just burns me to see Jason still on the loose and to see too many crooks online preying on innocent members. Something needs to be done to bring him to justice and looks like Baton Rouge cops & prosecutors are not doing much.

 

I will shut up from now on and hope someone else do something to make forum's BST a better place to use.

Yes Frank is... I bought a bag from him... Didnt have all the money, because I was waiting for my check.... He took it in two payment.. I had about half of it... That was a stand up thing I feel!! Like alot of people wouldnt have done it... But he did and to be honest.. This is a bag I love... its great... I dont know what happened between him and this jason fellow... but ill stick up for frank... i talked to him on the phone for a bit... and he was nothing but a good guy...

Evidently, the Secret Service has a sheet on this guy and they are building up a nice case...someone finally fought back!

If you go to the feedback on this ebayer, it shows that he is 100% with 110 transactions. and that the puttercover transaction went through with + feedback. this does not look like a bad guy's account to me.

I've seen people with 200-300 feedback suddenly 'go bad'. You can sell a bunch of trinkets, and then decide to get into REAL expensive stuff and after a few weeks...BAM. If you have the trust level, it's amazing what people can get away with.

He's definitely guilty on several counts of criminal activity in my case alone. And the authorities have all the evidence, but I suspect it is too small of a crime to pursue. Sure is frustrating for everyone. I continuously try to contact the officer in charge, but never get a response. Might make a good 60-minutes story.

..too small? i was talking to a bud of mine the other day about this clown. he said that he heard that over 1000 people had been scammed by this guy over the past few years. is that too small? please someone speak up if they know the facts. what gets me is he just apparently got another guy a few days/weeks ago AFTER he was big time busted (or so i read) by the feds? how is he allowed to keep doing this?

just to update everyone on my situation with Longballa, aka jason smith, he finally sent my golf bag after i contacted Paypal and filed a claim with paypal. he never sent me my bag until after paypal contacted him. he made up some excuse that his 3month old was sick, yet he was posting on here during that time period. i got my bag, but i wouldn't expect the same results.

I only know of my case for sure and it was $1,500. Apparently this is not an amount that would represent an urgent case. Anybody will a PC and access to the internet can do this. And with AOL, he can have unlimited email addresses with randomly generated IP addresses, so he just keeps re-registering on all the sites and hooking up with people to scam them. Pretty easy.

 

His excuse about a sick baby is one he used on me several times. Don't believe it and don't deal with guy. Everyone has his home address by now.
