Mid Atlantic short golf trip?

Looking to do a mid Atlantic weekend golf trip, MD, VA, DE, NC? Need good value, doesn't need to be fancy. Just weekend. Any suggestions for packages? Or where to start??

Pinehurst/Southern Pines, Williamsburg, Ocean City, and many more. Where are you coming from? If it's just a weekend, driving distance matters.

Atlantic City has a few really nice and historic courses - AC Country Club, Seaview Bay course and many others within 20-30 min. Casino hotel's are cheap especially during the week (look at Borgata) and you're not more than 15-30 minutes from most golf courses including the one's I listed above. Golf prices should be reasonable depending on what you mean by "Shoulder season". March/April can be dicey with weather but courses don't jack up their rates until late April/May for summer season.

Coming from Baltimore obviously Ocean City is closest and under three hours away. However when you're planning on going I'd recommend Williamsburg as the weather and conditions typically are a bit better that time of year. Only a half-hour further away. Both locations have lots of good courses to choose from so you can't really go wrong either way.

From Balt, it's logical to go to Ocean City MD, if just a couple days. You can book on your own or use Pam's packager.

Cost will be affected by the level of hotel + courses.

+1 vote for Atlantic City. Very underrated golf destination IMO

AC and OCMD are good suggestions and easy drives, within 3 hours (traffic dependent) from Baltimore. One more choice would be the Williamsburg VA area. Play Royal New Kent, Golden Horseshoe, etc. Plenty of cheap hotels around.

AC area is one of my favorites. I may be biased because I'm only an hour a way from there, but still! AC Country Club, Seaview (Bay), Twisted Dune. All great courses and during this time of the year can be pretty affordable. If you do go AC, I cannot recommend the Bay Course at Seaview more. One of my absolute favorites of all time.
