Hoofer or Hoofer Lite

I’m surprised there are so few head-to-head comparisons online. It’s time for a new bag and I’m down to the Hoofer and the Hoofer life but other than the divider and minor weight, I’m not seeing any real differences. Can anyone give me their experiences with the either of them - or maybe even both - to let me know if there’s any real benefit of one over the other?

I had a Hoofer Lite and my buddy has the Hoofer, both last years models. The Hoofer looks to be roomier all around with a few more pockets and more room up top for clubs. The Hoofer Lite was one of the best carry bags I have owned, for walking. Well balanced and comfortable. I like to move my putter around depending on what setup I am using on that day, sometimes I will use the top divider with my driver and other times I will put it down low with my wedges. My issue with the Lite was that the bottom divider was a little tight causing the putter to stick up higher unless I turn it sideways (blade putter). It's more rectangular than rounded.. not a huge deal but bugged me a little. Other issue with the lite was the tangle... I only carry 13, and even with standard grips there was quite a bit of tangle unless I stand the bag straight up. I wound up buying a Srixon Z85 instead and am 100% satisfied with it's design as the pockets open wider and it does have a little more overall room. I'd say if you are looking for a bag for walking, the Lite is great as you can't really overload it. If you use a push cart or ride mostly, the Hoofer is probably the better choice.

Neither, Taylormade FT Lite is much better IMO

I would seriously consider the Taylormade Flextech Lite, the Flextech is everything that Hoofers USED to be. I want from a Hoofer to a Flextech and was shocked at how much better the Flextech is.

In my opinion, there is no better pocket layout/organization than there is on the Hoofer. The Lite sacrifices some of that for weight. It's the best all round bag, as it works well on a cart(strap pass thru is nice); It also balances very well, so makes the extra weight a bit easier(It's not a heavy bag, just lighter options out there. Some may not balance as well and therefore less comfortable).

It's a great bag for me as I tend to carry for 9 hole practice rounds(About 50% of my golf), I use a push cart for tournaments and some club matches, and will ride occasionally with buddies.

I had the Hoofer Lite and the lowers side pocket was impossible to get in and out of...the material was so tight you could barely fit your hand in. That was my main grip with the hoofer and why I went with TM FT lite.

The one by water bottle sleeve? I haven't found it a problem with the regular hoofer. Thats where I keep snacks, haha. The Lite must be different. I would have gotten the Lite(Or 4 series as it was) but the upper pocket design/strap pass through was so much better. The weight difference isn't that much, but I know it adds up fast.
