Lamkin Crossline vs UTX

I used to be a UTX fan, but just moved back to the crossline cords. they feel great and give me the nonslip feeling I need in Missouri humidity.

Bumping an old topic. Longtime Crossline cord user, dipped into the Green UTX Cord. Liked the firm feel, reminded me of the old school GP Black / Green Victory Cords from the 70’s. However, disappointed in the wear. Traditional crossline cords will last me several hundred rounds. UTX Cords seem to wear out more than twice as quickly, almost like a GP product. (Durability similar to GP Zcord). I actually just put a two year old set of Crossline Cord Pulls back on, and they still have a lot of life left compared to 6 month old UTX cords.

Was it your bottom hand thumb area that wore the quickest for you? That's what happened with mine each time I used them. I love the way they feel on my clubs, but that thumb spot got annoying. I could get used to it on my irons, hybrids and fairway woods because I'll sometimes vary my grip to hit different shots, but I couldn't put the UTX on my driver. That one would always be a regular crossline or crossline cord.

Yes. I realize that is a friction point, but I don’t get that wear on the regular crossline cords. I would like to see a close-up of Tony Finau’s drive grip. I cannot imagine it lasts 3 weeks for him.
