Is ”downgrading” to Nike VR Pro Combo from Wilson Staff C300 Forged a bad idea?

Hello! ??

I am a 20 hcp golfer, currently gaming a set of Wilson Staff C300 Forged and doing them justice. Well... most of the time. However! I just got a chance to buy a set of Nike VR Pro Combo’s for a bargain. Sure.. I bought my C300’s for a bargain as well, which is one reason I got them, but the Nike fanboy I once where tells me the VR’s would look great in my Nike bag. Next to my Nike driver... and Nike fw5... Did I say ”once where”? ?
 

I’m not really looking to hear about how I might want to consider using ”easier clubs for higher handicapers” but rather if the 5 year backstep is a bad idea.

I went from a set of Yururi Japanese forged blades to a set of VR Blades. Those nike forgings can hang with any of the top clubs from any era unless you need a T100 or other tech club with a lot of tungsten.

Hmmm... and technology wise? Is the Nike’s miles behind the Wilson’s with all the powerholes etc, causing them to have much less distance and forgiveness?

Those looking at 1 piece forged blades aren't as concerned with the technology aspect of it. This is a classic blade. It's not like a P7TW or the Cobra MB that has tungsten plugs to move COG, etc. 

 

If you're looking at the VR Cavity Back's, they're going to be just a basic split cavity forging. Plenty forgiving compared to other similar models, but once you get into the King Tech Forged, or the T100s, or anything that has tungsten/foam in them, they're going to be a little more advanced.
