Snake Eyes EV MB1

I am trying to find (without any luck) the factory specs for the original Snake Eyes EV MB1 irons. I have a 3-10 set and would really like to know the specs. Loft for sure but weights, offsets, & lies would be great to know as well. Thanks for any help. 

 

Anyone else notice over the last year or last few google algorithm changes that searches for stuff like this seem to have more unhelpful results than previously?

Wonderful irons!  Best sound ever.  I had 4 or 5 sets of these beauties from about 1999 - 2008.  Trying to see if I can locate my spec sheets.  If memory serves, the PW was 49*.

 

Kind of a goose chase; however, I believe Tom Wishon designed the 600Bs when Golfsmith took over the name.  I seem to recall a comment he made about the MB-1's sole not being very playable.  So, this makes me think he had at least had a look at them during the 600B design.  Perhaps he has a file on this somewhere.  

 

I'll keep looking.  Really surprised I don't see them amongst the Toski VEC Tours, Zevo Z-Blades, Cleveland 588P RTG, MacGregor MT Pro CM and Titleist 735CM sheets I have.  I tried that internet Wayback machine on SnakeEyes.com and that brought up an adult site from 1997.  Great.

49* PW and 28* 5 iron would be in the ball park.  With forged irons like those you can just bend them to whatever specs you want within that general loft range.

Yeah, there really is no resemblance to any of the 600 series. 

I figured the PW would be somewhere 46-50. 49 sounds good. I have found specs for the 600 series (XC, C, B) and the lofts on the PW are all different (47, 48, 49) which I found interesting and vary some through the rest though still close enough to gap them nicely if you wanted to mix them. 

Yep, I'll get them bent up for sure, and I guess checked as well but there is no machine really around me closer than a few hours so it's a little wait for now. 

They are nice and I like hitting them. I'll play them a bit this fall for sure.

Way, way overpriced.  I like the Golfsmith Snake Eye's stuff but that auction price is way more than they ever cost new.  Hard pass.

Fantastic find!  Certainly better (and much classier) than my attempt on “Snake Eyes.”
 

I remember that description.  They just sounded flawless and that’s exactly why I wanted as many sets as I could find back then.

Sorry.... I'm VERY late to the party here.

I've been a British Snake Eyes nut for a while now. A Scot living near Wentworth/Sunningdale in England.

I had my (longer than standard) beautiful Snake Eyes EV MB1s tested for lie and loft by the fitter (who has also fitted Seve) at Sunningdale a while back.

@deejaid Thank you for posting this. I was able to track down official spec sheet on some 675mb irons that I've been playing this summer. I love these things and want them back to their original loft and bounce.
