So what are the differences.

I was under the impression the TB-Zero is for the international market with a wider array of customization options unlike the MB 101 is more for the NA market. Just like the MB 5003 and the MB 001.

So is the profile, size and weight different? Thanks.

although my tb zero irons are a different finish than the mb101, I don’t think I could pick out any differences, maybe if they are side by side.

This is taken direct from a TSG blog;

The “new” MB-101 is the 2007 MB-5003 from Japan. The baby blade and 1957 blade, as they are known in the USA, are designs so old they have not been used for almost two decades in Japan.

I saw that as well, from what I gathered TSG was wrong. The MB 5003 was the international version of the MB 001, the MB 5001 was the international version of the Tournament blade.

The difference from what I gathered especially with the international version is the customization options.

Yep. I compared mine to a friends MB 101 and I can say you are absolutely spot one. The only difference was that I got the double grind on mine whereas his was just the Y-grind.

So you ask a question, get an answer you do not like, and all of a sudden the info is just wrong? like give me a break, TSG knows what he is talking about plain and simple, do not believe him, I could care less, but he is 100% right, if you supposedly already knew the answer, why ask in the first place? MCW is Japan only through Miura Giken. Miura (global) or the international version is using older molds, in some cases, very old. It is that easy.

My bad if I came across the wrong way.

Merry Christmas.

That is not what i am saying. I am saying you asked for info, probably the best place to get info on JDM stuff, is tourspecgolf, he posted direct info, which you are disagreeing with, when you yourself are asking about that exact thing?

I was also under the impression that MB 5003 = MB 001 and TB Zero = MB 101. Just like how they simultaneously released TC 201 under the global brand and TC 101 for Giken.

I've bought a few iron sets from Chris in the past but I was also pretty confused by this one. This is speculation though, as I haven't talked to anyone directly from Miura.

I understand. I just thought maybe there was additional information to support that other than what the TSG provided. Thanks for taking your time to provide answers that I am trying to get.

It is fine, I should apologize for the tone, I know TSG gets some hate for pushing certain brands over others/having an agenda, but it is a business after all....

With regards to his information though, that is something I would say he is spot on with though. On all aspects, materials/finishes/where things are made, etc.

Stinger, what happened to YOUR TB-Zero thread?

It was top of Japan Forum last night, and now, it's gone!
