Miura Giken TB-Zero

Received my Miura TB-Zero 5-P (DG 105 X100) about 2 weeks ago, play 2 round with it so far, took a 6 years break not touch golf club at all, got back to play again this May, still trying to get back in shape and hitting the muscle back club.

I  was big fan of miura back many years ago always want set of 5003 MB, but than TB-Zero came out, and the simplicity on the club head made it so pretty

Look at the profile of the 8-pw.  Tall face rounded look. Like an actual wedge.    Like older mizuno and titleist etc.   today’s mb like mp20 , 620mb etc have short irons that look like 6 irons with more loft.  And I hate that. This iron interests me nexuses it carries the older short iron profile of an actual wedge shape.

I do not know for certain, there is a serial number in the pic, so you could ask them to run it and tell u the mcw options? To be honest it could be the stock finish, or it could be one of the satin finishes.....there was no info or specs with the pics.

I love the cursive stamp, no paint fill, on a chrome finish. I could be biased as that’s what’s in my bag! I love seeing all the different ways people customize their MCW.

I was hoping you would reply. I know the short irons have a different face progression, and the set has lighter head weights and flatter lies. Are there any other major differences?

I am not super familiar with the miura global release stuff (the north american releases, etc.) and tend to focus more on the miura giken japan release only products, but....

 

i am sure the soles are wider on the mb 101, and the head shape is definitely more round so to speak.

There's a video on Youtube from TSG that talks about the TB Zero and notes that it's different from the 101. It may be the same forged blank but grind is not the same.

I was under the impression the TB-Zero is for the international market with a wider array of customization options unlike the MB 101 is more for the NA market. Just like the MB 5003 and the MB 001.

So is the profile, size and weight different? Thanks.

This is taken direct from a TSG blog;

 

The “new” MB-101 is the 2007 MB-5003 from Japan. The baby blade and 1957 blade, as they are known in the USA, are designs so old they have not been used for almost two decades in Japan.
