Ambitions and Goals

For 2008.

Hey.

I'd be interested to know what the other juniors on the boards ambitons and goals are for the 2008 season?

Mine are

Finish my bag
Get to cat 1
Drive one of the par 4's at my club
Win a competition.

Hope to make some of those come true.

Haven't though about it much but

-Win medallist in championships for HS golf
-Win an MJT
-Qualify for BCGA zone 4 championships
-Repeat as Junior Club Championship
-Make cut in BC junior
-Get down to scratch or better

- Make the interclub team at my home course
- Get down to a handicap of 5 or better
- Par a course
- Never shoot 90 or over
- Get bigger (gain muscle)

Goals:

Get in great shape (lean muscular, good cardio)
Get a consistent swing (not long but consistent)
Make some putts (read the greens better!)

-Play well enough to get noticed and receive scholarship offers from Universities.
-Win at least one tournament in my conference.
-Shoot under par for a tournament.

so I see you say you want to make All-Prep and I think I only know one place off my head where it's All-Prep instead of all state, and it isn't NC where I'm from also, so I check out your profile and see that you go to Woodberry. I went there from 98-02 and played varsity all 4 years. Good to see another Tiger on here. Don't let Hogan touch your swing. Good luck.

I played there last year with my Boss (PGA pro) and got on free
this time i wont pay more than £50 !!
I played Birkdale in an event for £15 thats value!

this time i wont pay more than £50 !!

Break a course record (almost did. shot 62, record was 61)

Lower the putting avg. (avg. 28 right now)
Make more birdies (avg. about 4 right now)
Make getting up-and-down easier (69% right now)
Get more distance (avg. 275 right now. Tryin to get up to about 288).
Play smarter. (too many mistakes).
Play #1 on my high school team (currently#2)

Get more beastly (weigh only 148, tryin to get up to about 160ish or 180ish)

Cool thread, I was just thinking about this. First few are more fitness, but they go together with golf.
-Gain 20 pounds(Get up to 150)
-Put on more muscle mass
-Start driving 280-290
-Get some points in an IJGA event(Usually Top 3)
-Play in every HS Match

When you say 'Gain 20 pounds' do you mean in muscle? or just bulk?

Well I'm hoping muscle, but I could afford a little bit of bulk. But for the most part hopefully muscle.
Mikey, in your goals it says "Get To Cat 1", what does that mean?
