Nike Air Zoom Inifinity Tour

Recommended Posts

I got a pair of these last week and took them out for their first round on Monday and they absolutely destroyed my heels.  2 large blisters, one on each foot. One broke and is now super painful, the other didnt and its healing and not painful.  But wearing these in the shop they felt incredible.  I think perhaps the combination of how stiff they are and the high heal support with those pads that lock around the achillies just hit my heal in a different spot to normal.

Does anyone have any advice on how to break into these shoes or golf shoes in general.  Pretty much the same story every time i get new shoes.  My last ones, Adipure 2.0 did the same, but are now some of the most comfortable shoes i own but a little ragged, hence the new ones.

Better your heels than your knees.  Ask Brooks.

The only way you'll break them in mate is by wearing them. Keep them on around the house and in the garden.

My ZITs were the same and are now really comfy.

Yea i figured.  The state of my heals right now means i cant even put these on, but they are healing.  Il wear them as much as possible and im sure they will get there.  I know in the past people have suggested for leather shoes to wrap the heal in a towell and beat them up with a hammer a bit to soften them, which i dont think will work on these, so wondered if anyone had a more upto date suggestion on something like these.

What sock were you wearing? Short or long? I had blistering on my ankle with the Nike Tour Premiere a couple years back, then discovered the Stance "Tab" line of socks. Many sock brands now offer a "tab" version that rises at the heel.

Since then, I have never had a blister and I have several pairs of ZITs.

Just some regular everyday long socks.  So it wasnt a case of the shoes rubbing bare skin, but perhaps they were a little thin.  Ive ordered some golf socks with double layer heals, so perhaps this will help.

Man if only there was a thread about these

I searched and i got about 20 threads of people selling them, but didnt get to a thread actually discussing them and their comfort/breaking in.  I apologise profusely to the forum thread police.

Give moleskin a try.  It’s cheap, and I’ve used it quite a few times on my heels when breaking in new shoes.  It gives an extra layer of padding that really helps in the areas that get blisters.  Good luck, been there many times with blisters and they suck!

Thanks, il check it out.  I wore them for 9 last night with some double layer healed footjoy socks and a blister plaster over the healing blisters and all seems good.  Thinks they just need a few wears to soften up the heal cups.  Thanks for the useful suggestion.

48 pages of people dicussing dates that new minor colour changes are going to launch isnt what i need.  There might be a post or 2 in there that may have helped, but i dont have hours to waste thanks.

Got 3 different pairs, always walk in them and never had a blister. Maybe they are too long and your heel isn't locked in?

They are improving, it may have been because i had super thin socks on as i played straight from the office.  Ive rolled an bent the heals a bit and they certainly feel better.
