Just out of curiosity whats the point/advantage of 'coking' your wedges? Are there certain finished which are better to coke? Sorry for the ignorance...

It seems to hide any little imperfections, small scratches...etc. They are a little rough to the touch as well (which is said impart a bit more backspin?). They end up with a more uniform finish, rather than just letting them rust...which they still will anyway. I prefer a darker finish on my wedges, due to there being less glare. Plus it's as easy as an overnight dip in coke to darken them up again, whenever I want. Here's how they turned out. They're darker than in the pic's. I've got a few reshafts coming up, and these are two of many I have to do.

I didn't spend a fortune on these, so a little experimenting once, and a while doesn't hurt.

Nice work. Those do look pretty sweat. I also hear that raw clubs have a different feel. I just might have to give 'cockin' a shot

thanks for the link.... but i find it a little weird that they arent on the Cleveland website yet, an no other online retailer offers them yet....

Just picked up a 52* and 58* CG12 DSG... can't wait to play them next week. I replaced a CG10BP 60* and a 588GM 53*... versatility and zip grooves, should be a great combo. Added bonus... got a great discount.

 

As someone already mentioned... only thing I hate about Cleveland as of late is all the friggen writing on the club. SIMPLE = better. Pick one, the logo or the name... and don't put anything on the sole. Why do OEM's insist on putting writing on the sole. Just put the loft out on the toe... that's it.

I am confused. The theory behind DSG is that when you open the blade you get less bounce?
