Fancy face woods? And a Limbershaft? (Insane flex)

Does anyone have any information on this club? All I could find online was something about a lawsuit over royalties with Spalding. 

 

Interested if anyone has seen one like this before. 

 

Next photos are of a driver and 3 wood i have, and I think I saw the same type of face on a book cover or something but I don't know much about them.

Am I allowed to bump? It's been months after all. I still know very little about this extremely neat club. I'm tempted to try and hit it, but the shaft is made to be extremely "limber" aka it feels like a slightly cooked spaghetti noodle. Plus I don't have any ballata balls, don't want to damage the face.

Softer shafts on drivers were popular in golfs earlier days, the fashion seemed to come and go over the years.

The Scottish Ben Sayers brand produced some large headed clubs called Deadnoughts and the first ones, in addition to their oversized clubheads, also had very whippy shafts. An edition of The American Golfer magazine from 1909 quoted a golfer describing a dreadnought driver as "a lump of wood attached to three and a half feet of seaweed".

 

Yours sounds like an extreme example of this but I've not heard of it before, are you able to trace the patent number?

Hopefully somebody in the US will have more information than I do.
