MP-20 HMB hosel variance

Just curious, and I did run a search seeking the answer before posting this.... But why am I seeing two different versions of the forged/hosel stamp in MP-20 HMB models?

 

I just recently picked up a set of 3-PW, with the NS Pro 950GH shafts, which was apparently a JDM model, featuring Mizuno branded grips. I see a set currently listed on 2ndswing which are identically spec'd ( https://www.2ndswing.com/pv-1746058039-mint-mizuno-mp-20-hmb-iron-set-3-pw-nippon-ns-pro-950gh-steel-regular-right-handed-385in.aspx )

 

These have a hosel inscription reading, "GF FORGED HD" in white paint fill, then below it, "1025e" without the white paint fill.

 

Then, walking into a golf galaxy, I see a brand new set of HMB with NS Pro Modus 105 shafts, golf pride grips, and the hosel looks different. No paint fill, "GF FORGED" and beneath this, "CHROMOLY" (like this: https://www.2ndswing.com/pv-1784840943-mint-mizuno-mp-20-hmb-iron-set-3-pw-nippon-ns-pro-modus-3-tour-105-steel-regular-right-handed-385in.aspx ).

 

Both seem legitimate, and I certainly hope mine are the real deal as they look very authentic, no apparent differences between mine and the other set on 2ndswing with the same less-usual shaft/grips.

 

Is one possibly a Japanese-market (JDM) release while the other is the dick's/galaxy US market version?

 

Is one an earlier release and one later?

 

Calling Mizuno didn't offer much help so I'm hoping you could help a noob, here?

Sorry also of note, the logo is paint-filled on the "JDM" model.

 

Again...maybe I'm such a noob that this is common knowledge? Just confirming... Thanks !

While you wait for a Mizuno expert to chime in, I will caution you that the clubs in question could very easily be counterfeits. The fact that Mizuno was of little help would be a red flag for me. Good Luck.
