Northern Ireland/Scotland Covid updates?

Well my first round of the year is going to be the Old Course on Tuesday.

 

I went down to my course today for short game work and play 4 holes and I was shocked how good condition the course was in for this time of year - greens were awesome. Been such a weird warm and stupid windy winter. Wednesday looks to be our 3rd over 80mph storm in two months.

I was a little concerned with COVID regulations for visits from the US so we booked a couple days early prior to our golf then attending a practice round at the open. We had all of our golf and rooms booked. Recently seeing many of the restrictions lifted upon arrival, we used one of those cushion days to book another round. Most of our golf is based West around Turnberry and Prestwick but our first few nights we had booked to stay in Edinburgh. Just thought why not and called Carnoustie and they had a few early July times that fit us perfectly. Already had the trip of a lifetime and now adding Carnoustie, I think this will be over the top fun!
