Best Custom Leather Headcovers

robert mark golf does lots of custom ones.  you might only be able to get 2 headcovers for $250 though.  i would think anyone doing complete custom will be at least $125 a cover

Ok, Delila at Girly Golfer is hooking me up yet again. I decided to go with an 80s/90s them to my headcovers and took a few liberties with some G/Fore slogans but think they will turn out great. I’ll let you guys see the full review when I get them around the end of next week.

Ok guys, I’ve received all of the headcovers that I ordered from Delilah Covers and just giving you guys an update. First, she nailed the design I was looking for so she gets an A+ in that regard. But, unfortunately that may be the only positive thing about the covers. Here is my breakdown:

 

Leather:

 

The leather is definitely synthetic and hard. Not what I was expecting for a premium cover. I own several Stitch covers and one Dormie cover and they are all soft, supple leather. The leather used on these is like cardboard. 
 

Stitching:

 

The covers have a ton of stitching on them and as such, they are already starting to wear with loose ends everywhere. Especially on the putter. I spend my time trying to trim everything up on the putter cover more than you would want. 
 

Process:

 

Here is where it fell apart for me. I received the driver/fairway covers first. When I opened the package I notice the fairway cover didn’t look like the mock up she made. The part that says “Fairway To Heaven” was cut short and over lapped the bottom of the cover. I emailed Delila with a pic and she said that I was right and I needed to mail the cover back to her. I looked up the cheapest rate to mail it back to her in time to have it back for my Ireland trip and it cost me $35 to mail it back to her. That’s $35 on top of what I already paid. I’m not sure what she thought she could do with it but the proper thing would have been just to make another cover and mail it to me and not cost me more money for her mistake. 
 

I’ve bought covers from Delila in the past and I really wanted to support her because she was a woman owned small business. Unfortunately this will be the last time I use her for covers. Just very disappointing.

Say what you want about Winston but.....My design was perfectly executed, the leather has great color and suppleness and on top of that, the driver cover had a stitching blem(They caught it not me) so when my package arrived, I had 2 Driver covers(No additional cost).

Dormie is really nice. It's too bad they don't have some stock yardage books. I enquired about one when I ordered a headcover, and since they consider all yardage books custom, it was going to be more expensive than the headcover?!?!

Our club uses Winston and a few others and they are the nicest, but like a few others have mentioned it may be tough to get one off stuff from them. I have built one with Cru before and it turned out nice. I am currently considering a putter head from golf Iconic. Their online designer is cool and their pictures look good. My only hold up is they are quoting a minimum 12 week lead time.
