Iron shaft recommendations - getting fade/slice with Nippon NS Pro 950GH Neo

I've been using Mizuno JPX 825 Pro irons with True Temper Dynalite Gold XP S300 shafts for the past 6-7 years and while dispersion has been pretty good, the shafts at 117 grams feel heavy for me, resulting in inconsistency on my long irons and lack of feel on my short irons. I've tried Nippon NS Pro 950GH (stiff) and NS Pro 950GH Neo (SR and R) on my 7i and I really like the lighter weight, more control and better feedback on hits/mishits, but I'm getting ~10 yard fade/slice on most shots and I have to really try to turn it over, resulting in inconsistencies. I'm not tall/strong and hit about 145y with my 7i, also not a smooth swinger, so maybe the NS Pro isn't a good fit for me.

Any idea why I'm getting these fades/slices and do you have any shaft recommendations for me? Thanks!

You kind of answered your own question, in that you may have an ill fitting shaft for your aggressive swing.

If 105-110 gram shafts are still too heavy, then you may need a different profile in 95 gram class weight.  Quite a few different steel and graphite versions available.

If you are uncomfortable with the NS Pro 950's, then it is probably not wise to adjust your swing to hit them well.  Nippon Modus 105 Stiff or Regular may be a better fit.  (This is all subjective on what you wrote.)

Better off finding a weight and profile that fits you.

Good luck!

Yeah, I've been tinkering with a few shafts, hoping one of them would work, but alas... I'm contemplating whether I try a few more... Modus 105 looks promising, or if I should just get a proper fitting. Thanks!!

The enigma of shafts... I just moved to nspro 950s and am having hard time to fade. I draw the ball 90% with purpose and i had to adjust my draw as the ball curved a bit more than I planned.  But when I tried to fade, man, it just went high and straight (or just slight baby baby fade)... Of course, I am usually much more comfortable with draw than fade but I think shafts are also a bit related here.
