Golf Membership in Naples Florida

my 3-hour round comment is actually geared towards hideout.  It's another "daily" single owner club.  I belong to a same setup.  Little play, non accompanied is $500 to keep outsiders out. But it ain't OM or CP. It's actually laughable.  CP is just like OM. Caddie only, no caddie needed, no carts after 3pm. So I get it, but if you asked me if I wanted to play CP or hideout 5 days a week, CP no brainer.  Also, never had the vibe from staff that you're not wanted at CP as a guest. You're making it stuffier than it sounds my man.  I've tried really hard to be kicked out of almost every privates I've played.  Nobody cares when you're there.

my comments about cp were towards new membership (wanted national members) and I really don’t think it’s stuffy whatsoever, it’s just not as easy to run out and play 18 as hideout or hole in the wall which was my initial comparison. I completely agree on hideout. Course design doesn’t hold a candle light to cp, but overall playability and membership is why people love it so much. I just got a bit carried away talking about cp lol. Can’t wait to get back out and play later this month once the weather cools.

I've never played CP but it has to be great to be in the top 100. Hideout to me is just flat out fun to play.

I also get that hideout would be super fun as a “daily” compared to CP. but put a gun to my head I’ll pick cp every day forever. It’s like going to Monterey and picking pacific grove over cypress. Heck no.  Naples need to get their act together. QE can’t possibly go on forever.

yeah it’s a bit high. Tough times with a young family. It is what it is. But still playing championship tees and still winning money in mga.

it’s just golf.  We can all agree the Florida golf scene isn’t inclusive or fun for outsiders as it used to be. That’s the shame in all this tbh. It wasn’t always this way. But anything short of a depression ain’t going to change things any time soon. Boomers holding up the economy pretty darn well and with medical advances they’ll probably be alive till they 105 sandbagging their way to every members members and mga.

Pelican was stolen from the people in Bellaire. It was only public decent layout in town. I’ll see if I can find the article.

Best course in Tampa other than OM is Copperhead. Cabot may end up better than both.

I can’t take anything you say seriously. Especially after you kept declaring Innisbrook is a private club and the overhype of hideout.  Eh at best.

 

Heading down to poinciana this winter and adding the national to the list.  Not much is talked/discussed about national.  Big fan of fry/straka. Their renovation of a local club in tampa bay has been world class.
