SimTurf hitting mats

Has anyone used these hitting mats for their garage/outside and able to give a bit of a review? Trying to compare the EZ Tee Hybrid Hitting Mat (4x6' $405) vs. Mega Mat (5x5' $570). Looks to me like the mega mat is probably thicker, otherwise I'm not sure the difference. There is a more expensive Fiberbuilt turf series (4x6' for $679) that I'm also looking at. Not really interested in grass series FB or CCE. Also don't really want the true strike. Anyone hit the sim turf mats or fiberbuilt performance turf and able to compare these? I have the ez tee and have had it for almost 2 years now. I got a 5x6 piece (remnant) from a local dealer for $200. It's a little over an inch thick but I just have it sitting on a concrete floor and have had no issues. A little wear/discoloration but performance is still the same. TXG uses that mat in their studio. Can't speak to the other mats listed

The mega mat I think is a bit thicker because of the foam pad on the bottom. Wondering if the hitting surface is the same and the only difference is foam padding. Or if hitting surface is made up of different materials. Think I would prefer the foam on the bottom to give it some more cushioning. There is a heritage mat which is less foam so cheaper as well. Do you have any pictures you could post of your mat? Or send to my messages.

I can get some pictures soon...if you're concerned about extra padding buy exercise mats or something like that for cheaper than $150 extra

They emailed me back today with this response about the two. Pics would be appreciated, thanks.

"We would recommend the Mega mat if you're putting it directly on the concrete floor. For the EZ tee mat, you would have to put double-sided tape on it to keep it from possibly sliding around. The 5'x5' Mega mat is very stable. The overall impact feel between the two are the same the foam on the mega mat helps it to be more stable."

Looks good but definitely not as thick as I was hoping that mat would be. Do you have those foam pads under that mat or anything to help keep it from moving around? I have those same foam pads under my current mat but it's always slipping.

No I use the foam pads around the mat to keep it in place. It does move slightly.

I am contemplating going with GungHoGolf's Holy Grail hitting strip insert into the current mat, but raising it up some. They also have a hitting mat with this insert for $550 or $900 depending on size.

I contacted SimTurf, a dealer in Canada, and the Synthetic Turf OEM. Everyone says don't use padding underneath.

I respect this is the choice of trackman and the fitting studios, but the lack of padding makes me nervous it's not meant for the same person to smack 300-500 balls a week in their garage on it?
