Real Miura MB 101?

Saw these on offer-up and have never seen a set of Miura's without logo. Seller says these are MB-101s.

I say fake...like badly so.

 

Don't think you can order international/NA version of the MB-101 with custom Miura logo/stamping.  MCW (Miura Craftsman World) for Miura-Giken JDM-only product offers the MG logo but it would be the TB-Zero model not MB-101.

 

Iron #s all have 2 dots underneath and never seen those on (or offered) on any Miura irons regardless of the target market.

 

If seller can't provide provenance i.e. purchased from an authorized dealer, copy of order sheet/invoice/receipt, etc., I would take a hard pass.

I know Ray Floyd had some at some point. I believe Jumbo did as well. Too long ago for me to remember.

Square Toe. Sharp Leading Edge. Not much in terms of Heel, Toe, and Trailing Edge relief.

Seller told me they were purchased from a guy who told him they were built for a LPGA player…I can’t think of any LPGA player who uses Miura blades…

Still think knock-off heads (poor ones at that even if they're supposed to be a "one off" custom order that doesn't match any prior or current model in any market).  All the stampings are off...from the iffy "MIURA" to the wrong font for "FORGED" to the double dot stamps beneath the iron #s, to lack of hosel stamp.  At $1k "firm" I still say hard pass, not worth the gamble whatsoever at that price, particularly when you can't verify the provenance.  LPGA player to a guy to another guy to offer-up?!  Yeah, no.

 

Shafts could be legit but even the bag looks like a cheap knock off to me.

Not looking to purchase. Was just curious as I have never seen that font used or model. I just sold my BBs and have a wee bit of seller's remorse...

Gotcha.  The iron # font is also off to me.  If they're purportedly older ('90s, early '00s) and were built for a pro then owned by two others, there would, in all likelihood, be a lot more wear and tear on them.  Even the face frosting looks rougher than genuine original factory finish from the pics.  As mentioned previously, I have never seen dots under the iron #s for any Miura irons...possible for a one-off order but really, really doubt that was the case.
