Well, after lusting after one for a long time now, and them not being available in the UK/EUR (and seeing Rory at the Scottish) I have finally bit the bullet and bought from from stateside. 

 

I am just really, REALLY hoping they do send me the #3 short slant since the website shows a photo of the #9 😞 I am very nervous. And the descriptions are the same.

 

I paid a massive premium in shipping and taxes so if they send me the wrong one (even though I clearly ordered #3 per the website) I am going to be more than angry and sending back to the states will be a nightmare.

Got one off the bay for $200. After all these years, glorious. 35” only if anyone interested. Stepped shaft. There are more available. Comes plastic wrapped and brand new.

So came back to the hydroblast spider x after a brief honeymoon with the golo 6.5.  Was fortunate enough to remove the la golf shaft I had in it and used a shim to install it on the x and it turned out great. Will get a chance to roll it on some real greens tomorrow but so far it feels and rolls fantastic on my practice mat.

it’s good, I swapped the grip for a slimmer super stroke and I’ve got a black KBS shaft on route in the mail. Currently rotating between my Newport and the spider.

Was able to get the putter out on the course yesterday.  Totally forgot how much these pure roll inserts puts a roll on the ball. Lag putts were great and medium/short putts were money.

Finally received my Spider X Hydro. Swapped out the shaft for a KBS CT Tour 120 (matt black), changed the stock weights for 2 x 8.5g and put on a SuperStroke Pistol GT 2.0 Team Europe edition. Playing at 34".

I bought 6 gram weights from amazon and they work just fine on the putter.

Let's hope for Rory that the Scotty is a short fling! But honestly, those Scotty Cameron Phantoms are really nice too, I would not mind one for myself to try.

Its an all metal milled SpiderX with a solid face. There was a post with pics earlier but it was removed pretty quick.
