Any opinions?
Just thought we could get opinions on the J33r 460cc driver. A lot of hype. Just got one in the mail for review. Havent hit it yet. Looks great! Looks like a Titleist head from address. Square face, deep face and looked great. The Picture of the sole of the J33 looks weird for some reason. Doesnt look so wide in reality. Something about my photograhpy skills :)

Here is a picture...

Here are some comparison Pics of the J33r and the Cleveland Comp 460 ( the J33 is on the top and then on the left). The J33 face is knowticably deeper and also the head seems to be not as wide...

I didn't like either one I had (10.5* with NV, 9.5* with Diamana) ... but that's just one opinion for you.

why ?...

for me.. I've had 3 different shafts...

Stock aldila 65 : Never really liked the green NV

PM902x... for whatever reason this is a great combo feel wise..really smooth ..but will tire you out sometimes after 20+ holes...

and now the Rombax 7V05.. Outstanding forgiveness...I think there is were this club shines..very forgiving off the heel (my misses) great looking at address..good sound..low/mid 150's ballspeeds for me which is only better'd by my Tour FT-3 at the moment.

Woods : Callaway Razr TA, Titleist F3-05
Hybrid : Adams LSP XTD
Irons : Fourteen TC910 3&4I, Nike VRProCombo 5-PW
Wedges : Fourteen RM-11 54/60
Putter : Nike Method 003 Oven

Very nice driver..sets up very square, very solid, very deep faced, very forgiving... however I don't think I've found the right shaft for it yet(but I haven't done a ton with shafts in it..NV..yuck...VS Proto 80..good..just too low for me...currently trying..GD W70..which feels awesome..but yet to take to the course)..However its going to take alot the get the SQ Tour out of the bag at this point!!!....btw- the J460r looks like a 300cc head compared to the SQ(which is very wide).. great driver..could be amazing with the right set up!

doesnt' look very titleist-y to me at all - more round like a taylormade. excellent sound, great feel as a result (if you like a more solid, muted driver), very good forgiveness. hits more true to loft than most drivers. low spin for sure.

best looking and playing 460 driver i've hit yet. has a decent shot of fianlly replacing the r510 df i've been playing.

Got onje round in with mine and I need to either trim the shaft or go ahead and put the Accra Tour 70 m5 in it that I got for winning the tour championship contest (thanks to JC, D-man, and all involved int he contest) I like the hotter trajectory which is what I was looking for. I like my TM real well but it has a high flat traj that comes down soft with virtually no roll. This driver comes down much hoitter. When i get more rounds with it I will do a proper review.

I am actually getting a J33R 460 with an Accra Tour 70. It should be a sweet combo. I'm hoping to get it next week.

Please let me know what your results are with it after you get it. PM me and let me know how it plays. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Just a note to those reshafting the J33R 460, the bottom bore to groundline measure is 2"...which is about 1/2" more than the norm. It'll make your shafts play a bit softer. The hosel is also the fattest 0.335 I've ever seen. Had to use one of those fat headed ferrule-shims and cut off the sleeve portion.

Head looks awesome and sounds extremely solid. Don't have confidence in the 660TR that was already installed so Accra SC65 is curing :)

wow, that's a beautiful 460. does it have a little more face progression than the tm's ... looks like it might? i gotta try bennett's with the rombax.

I've had a tour issue B'stone with a Diamana in the bag for most of the summer.... Great looking pear shape head that hides its size nicely-- probably the best looking head out now all around... Its wonderfully solid and thwacky feeling-- the turbo rubber really works... Its definitely a low spin driver, so higher lofts are in order... Its my gamer so that's the highest compliment I can give... its long and solid, and very foregiving... wants to go straight, and I'd say on balance its a pinch somewhat harder to draw, although its workable both ways... Its very foregiving especially on heel misses, less so on toe misses... In sum, a great looking pear shape classic head that is nice and deep faced, and wonderfully solid and thwacky feeling... very forgivng and long, and does everything well-- I am hard pressed to find any faults with this driver, and gun to head about the only thing I would improve is the slight "squirt right" feel on toe misses...

Mike:

It's the perfect driver for you. It's a 983E on steroids.

Wow we woke the dead... where you been site :dntknw:

Nah... been a hectic schedule... my bad... I'll try to check in more often... the B'stone 460 is a great driver-- I'm shocked it hasn't found its way into your bag... I have a 9.5 FT3 Tour issue, and the B'stone is just so much more your style, IMO... go figure....
