top of swing trouble

Have had top of backswing issues forever, have never been able to get the club totally square.  I do realize I can play from this position, but i'm tired of this position and all the different feels to get the club square at the top.

I've change grips (weak, strong, neutral), early hinge, late hinge etc, nothing works.  I have no idea how to get the club face to where I want it.  in the pics/vids, it is not as pronounced as it is normally, but it's not close to where I want it to be.  I also realize I have several other flaws in my swing, I'm currently only focusing on my top of swing position.  With how my grip feels, I feel like my face should be wide open at the top, as you can see, it is not. 

any suggestions are appreciated.

If you're tired of the look of it, the only way is to cup the hell out of the left wrist. If it'll make you hit it better, I have no idea.

An open clubface at the top is often a recipe for disaster 

Your real issues are a pivot stall and your right arm disconnecting in the impact zone 

4th and 5 th still)

 

Setup

stance is slightly too wide-wider stances discourage rotation 

right arm is too straight -should be slightly bent 

Insufficient hip and thigh bend. More bend will cause your butt to stick out more behind your heels , will cause your spine to be more horizontal and will make your swing more upright . Rory is a good example to emulate ( 1st still) 

 

Takeaway -shaft pointing to the right of your target  at first parallel ( 2nd still) . This can either encourage a stuck position at the top or lifting of the upper torso ( you ) 

transition 

compare your change of position from the top to 9:00 going down ( last still) to that of Moe Norman ( 3rd still) . Notice that space between his knees has widened while the  Space between your knees has been maintained .

 

Suggestions 

In your takeaway , take your hands directly back until they have gone past your right leg. 
 In transition rotate your left knee aggressively until it gets past the outside of your foot. The right side will eventually be dominant , but not in transition

My guy!  Appreciate the through critique. I’m not trying to get open at the top, just tired of being closed.
