Recommended Club Builder in San Diego?

Hi all,

 

Looking for a recommendation for a club builder to work with on a couple things. I need someone who really knows what they're doing because I need to decide if I should reshaft my entire set, or just one club. The reason for this is I've had two clubs snap at the hosel in the exact same place and fashion - as I'm leaning on the club placing a tee in the ground - over the past year. Both times, I've considered myself lucky that I hadn't actually taken the shot...who knows what could have happened. So I'm hoping to get an opinion on if the rest of the set is fine or if I should transition to something else.

 

Anyway, I've got DTC clubheads and aftermarket shafts, and my disappointing experiences so far in San Diego have been that shops either don't know the equipment or straight up won't do repairs for whatever reason. Really looking for someone that I can trust.

 

Any recommendations for club builders in the San Diego area (downtown north to Oceanside is preferred) would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Coleman is out until November…I was going to ask him for some work as well. 
 

I ended up using ADS Golf in Vista. Worked with the owner up there and he did a great job. He has a full shop and fitting bay. Highly recommend if you’re looking for attention to detail versus big box volume work.

Maybe avoid leaning on your club when you put a tee in the ground.  That could be part of the problem.

Maybe leaning isn't the right word but it's something literally everyone does. Here's a photo I got from the internet from the US Am of it being done. Thanks for your critical input, though.

I'd stop doing this, if I knew that it was contributing to broken shafts.  Even though others do this and haven't broken any, yet

I don't KNOW that this is contributing to the shafts breaking, only that that's when it's happened. I can reasonably assume that the heads would have snapped off on the shots I was setting up for.

That said, I, and again basically every other golfer ever, have been doing this since I started playing some 30 years ago. This is the first time I've had this issue.
