I’ve been here long enough I figured I’d share my witb. I’ve been playing golf somewhat regularly for the past 2 years and have quickly become a club junkie. I’ve been able to get my handicap down from 30+ to a 14. Hoping to get to single digits but it will have to wait til next year since I live in Wisconsin and the season will be ending soon. 
 

Driver: Sim 2 Max D at 8.25 degrees - VA composites Slay 65 stiff

3w: Callaway Epic Max - Slay 75 stiff

3h: Ping G425 at 19 degrees set flat - Slay 85 stiff 

4-AW: Callaway Apex ‘21 - nippon modus 120 stiff

56-60: Cleveland CBX Zipcore - nippon modus 120 stiff

Putter: Scotty Cameron special select Newport 2 - BGT stability tour shaft  - SS tour 1.0

Grips: MCC +4 mid size

Ball: ProV1 yellow

Bag: Titleist hybrid 14 

 

Callaway x forged UT 2 iron for windy days and as a range toy. Also have a Cleveland 52 degree but have been using the AW with more success since that’s more of a full swing club for me. 
 

A whole stable of putters that will probably hit the BST soon: Cleveland HB soft premier 11, bettinardi Inovai 6.0, ping PLD DS72, Scotty Cameron phantom x 5.5, mizuno OMOI type 2, odyssey white hot #2 CS, and ping Anser X.

Cool bag! I love those VA Composites shafts. Whereabouts in Wisconsin are you? I'm in the Madison area and I definitely feel your pain that the season is nearing a close!

The slay shaft in the sim 2 is like a perfect color match. I’m up in the Appleton area. I love to stop at Nevada bobs when I’m in the Madison area though!

I know the feel.  I thinned my putter herd down to three putters last year.

How do you like the Stability shaft in the putter?  I also live in Appleton in case you would like to get out for a round some day. Where do you typically play?

I’m obsessed with the stability shaft. When I originally put heavier weights in my Scotty the shaft was sooo whippy. I was actually able to get the stability shaft for free in a trade and now any of that flex is gone and it feels so nice. It feels like whatever power I put into the swing is transferred directly to the head and I’m never surprised by a putt going long or short or starting off line. It’s dangerous though because now I’m considering putting one in another putter or two. 
 

I mostly play chaska but also play west ridge, winnegamie, reid, and mid valley. How about yourself? I’m always looking for more playing partners.

Thanks for the feedback on the stability shaft. Thinking I will need to try it out. Mainly play at Fox Valley Golf Club. Happy to have you out one of these days.

Putter update. I’ve been loving the Newport 2 with stability shaft so decided to treat myself. Got a jet set Newport 2 for a (relatively) reasonable price and threw a stability shaft blackout in it. Now playing 35 inches, bent to 68* lie, 3 extra wraps under the grip.
