Yes sir - you do! Closeouts and used clubs are the best deals in golf!

Look at the drivers on the market this year - most are already down at least 50%!

So since I'll be on "Run and Hide" mode for a little while I will just leave to total $ amount spend on gears blank for now. yeah thats another issue sometimes i cant wait for closeouts. im already looking/waiting for the new titleist cb and just waiting for more reviews on the adams 9030ls driver before i pull the trigger. and yes theres nothing wrong with my current irons and driver

I feel your pain Gandor! I definitely am getting equipment bug especially this year. I've swapped my driver 4 times and even had 3 sets of irons over the past 9 months! BUT, with the extra money I am spending on upgrading the shaft in the driver, I think this will be my strategy from now on - re-shaft, new club. I would hate to trade in my Cobra irons because I got such a good deal on them, but that's exactly what I almost did last week!

Every time my wife asks how much my golf equipment costs, I say "You don't want to know". She used to pester me for details and then throw a tantrum when I relented and actually told her how much I was spending. I'd explain (every time) that I wasn't taking food off the table, that I knew she'd react that way, and that I was trying to save her the stress....Especially since I'm only going to stop being the Golf Ho that I am when I stop breathing!

I don't argue. I don't raise my voice. And the expression on my face never changes, no matter which buttons she tries to push (one of the more useful strategies I've learned in 12 years of police work).

Nowadays, she still wonders about the cost of my stuff, but she no longer asks. She just thanks the UPS guy, and brings the boxes in the house.
