Not a lot.

 

Driver was £70 on eBay, after I cracked my last Ignite head. I re-used the original shaft which was £50 or so.

 

3 Wood was £120 or so, and the shaft was an old pull-out from a friend's 3 wood.

 

1 iron has been in the bag for about 12 years. I think it was about £60 back then.

 

My 3 iron is from my old set and the 4-PW are all new (or they were last June) and I think were about £400 all-in.

 

Vokey Sand wedge was £70 or so, and the lob wedge is a temporary job from an old set of Eye 2s I've had for about 18 years, so again no real cost incurred.

 

My putter cost me 35 quid in 1989.

 

Total cost I would guess at around £800/$1600...

Everything bought off Ebay - I've had nothing but great experiences buying (and selling) used and save a ton of dollars. I usually only buy stuff in like new condition. Being patient and only buying from people with lots of good transactions helps keep you safe. The shipping is partially offset by tax savings.

 

I have had about 10 drivers and 10 different sets of irons last year - but am determined to keep this setup all year.

Wedges, going to be 3x scratch tour depts which would run you £450/$900 normally

I think I have a buyer for my Adams now so by going back to the Price irons that were part of an 11-piece combo set and adding the two hybrids I got on clearance for $25/piece that brings it down to somewhere around $850. I can't see myself lasting long with that bag so I'll be back over $1000 before too long.

 

The funny thing is that I hit my Hippo wedge better than the vokeys that are several times the price and the same goes for the Prince irons over the Adams. Perhaps I was born to play cheap clubs, but I wouldn't give up the Callaway too easily.
